We don't have a picture of these birds, too numerous for me to identify, recorded on the end of a long trans-Bucurestian meander that left us near the biserica of an old monastery and all the buildings in fact white as most of the birds apother in that coop against the wooden garden gate we accessed by some gravelly drive-way on foot, in the year 2015. I recorded the silence of the inner sanctum which kind of silence I was hunting for just then (more of that upcoming as I finish this album up, finally, after so many lapses). But the photo, the only seemingly appropriate image I could muster, of a lovely artisanal compound gate typical of Transylvania, comes from Budesti (other recordings from there in this same album).
