about

I guess it was in 2005 just a bit after I was on tour in Germany with Tetuzi that Katrina hit New Orleans and I watched sadly the news reports on the television in my Berlin flat and played this improvisation one day. I mention Tetuzi Akiyama mainly because of his recent visit, our first meeting together, and the fact that he played his "Don't Forget To Boogie: set which maybe have nudged me towards this blues revival... I'm not sure. It's kind of always there for me, if I want to/need to find it. In any case, this track was the second on the CD released by Foxy Digitalis under the moniker Saiko. I'm uploading it first because of a contemporary inspiration. Full Cd coming soon. Album details on my website. www.futurevessel.com/orphansound/projects/sketches/
