Recorded in and around the grounds of the open-air museum dedicated to regional Romanian village architectures and life-styles in Bucharest. All of the buildings (churches, houses, mills) were transported here from other areas of the country and re-assembled piece by piece. Gates of wood, gates of metal, local birds, and the wooden planks of the entire row of water-mills located near the river. I sounded the wooden planks with my fingers only while walking along the length of the trail, without any particular metric plan. The desire to "jam" with the wooden "gamelan" was hard to resist. But the rhythms one hears in the soundscape are by and large random, coincidental, results of the tracks over-lapping in the mixing process.
