In 2006 I was at spending a week at Nur Nicht Nur studio in Kleve, recording tracks for my second album on that label. The director and sound engineer, Dieter Schlensog had the idea to phone up nearby turntable artist Claus van Bebber and ask if he wanted to do a session. We both agreed that would be fine. Claus arrived; we recorded spontaneously; the results are here. I am unclear why we never got it together to edit and make a release. Most likely we didn't have enough money to put into making a cd anyway, Claus didn't do email, and back then there wasn't any streaming culture, so it just got lost in the shuffle. The tracks were good technically speaking, tight and nicely formed but that second track was far too long. Every time I listened, I found I still enjoyed the tracks and began breaking up the second session into shorter pieces a few years ago. Now I am ready to let these space cats out their long silent placental shrouds into the light of your rabbit ears.
