about

working with the field of consciousness itself as the main material and following the arc of a thought process unfolding via improvisation are both theme and modus operandi in these dictaphonic poems. some remain exactly as they were first recorded spontaneously. others, such as the first track, derive from multiple entries written into a script/score and subsequently performed with as close to the same kind of energy intention as the original moment being recalled. in all cases the crisis returns. what am I really thinking when I speak words aloud and how can I bear witness to the invisible impetus on the edges of the words? some entries remain speechless even if there had been something to say when I pressed record but which never arrived as such. I try to carry the field over with attention to listening. disappearing into listening or disappearing into spoken words. these are the forms of my gentle, gradual dissolution and mingling with the common forces of the greater potential.
