The occasion for creating these compositions presented itself in 2013. Around this time I'd retrieved from storage in Belgium certain field recordings made in New Mexico in 2003, particularly one recording of a fallen and desiccated tree found in the forest near Questa (20 miles North of Taos), which I and Ephia drummed upon using various local bones and branches, in a kind of private Djalma Primordial Science ritual action. Back in Poznan, I took samples from this field recording and then used audiomulch and pure data patches to create these riddims -- that are very woody, indeed. Mostly created in my home studio in Wilda or in our friends flat in Firenze, Italy, over the summer, by abstracting some entrancing loops, dubbing other instruments, played by myself and Karolina Ossowska, mixing random shortwave radio captures, I immersed myself in studies of Ayahuascero culture (c.f. track 7, "Gente de Yaje"). The mutual obligate forces of the forest, of fate, the pineal gland --- drawing the dry into the green, again, revitalizing-- with this... And there are as yet no words for me to tell you other than these that meet when the branches rub inside you ears while you dance or sit contemplating the dance.
