this is a song dedicated to those who died in the battle for nothing other than the right to live their lives in freedom.
in memory of 1989 now comes to mind, Romania, here, the others
the title you see & read was the original dream title between the looms, some fainting spell under the fig tree and the dill,
licorice wisdom, i was caught laughing at the (un) harmony in my soul in Belovo, Bulgaria where, in 1693, nine young ladies of legend
leapt from a cliff rather than turn to face the pursuers
"but the parents of Allah have no fear, nor will they grieve"
a dream within a dream befitting Joycean history
we struggle to wake from for in our most modern moments of despair we are alone with our shadow and need only face who we were, are, who we want to be (the emphasis on we?)

the surge to the surface of the waters of the winter the break in the ice sappho enchanted by pings of the lyre to remain in life
there are many things I still do not know and would like to understand this is what keeps pretending that it's important to be alive
